It's a high difficulty dungeon, but the drop rate for high quality gear is also increased. The Howling Crypts: High Roller costs 100 Gold to enter.We recommend new players queue into this mode and get to grips with combat first, either solo or with friends. The Howling Crypts : Normal is the regular dungeon map, where teams of 1-3 players compete for loot and the chance to escape.The loot is better than the first level of Howling Crypts on Normal difficulty, but it's easier for other players to spot you and move towards you, so it's recommended you play with a full team and choose a more mobile class. The Ruins of Forgotten Castle is an outdoor map where there is no 2nd level, only escape portals.The enemy mobs are significantly more challenging than in the Howling Crypts. Bows no longer have unlimited arrows they are a finite resource.New perks, skills, monsters, weapons, and items.This was intitially released as Floor 0 of the standard map where players would spawn upon entering, but has since been changed to a single layer dungeon for the purposes of playtesting.
The playtest will officially end at the following time:Īlthough comprehensive patch notes have not been released, there are several key changes introduced in Dark and Darker Playtest 5: During previous playtests, the developers extended the playtest window for a few additional days past the originally planned end time, but Ironmace has confirmed this playtest will not be extended. The April 2023 Dark and Darker playtest will run from 14 April, 2023 until 19 April, 2023 according to plans shared in the official Dark and Darker Discord server.
